We had an old t-handle mower that had a crank start Briggs engine, it was probably from the 60s and always started right up

Do you have a part number for the upgraded stator or what it was on?

I have a 17.5 HP of the same motor I got form a local store on a scratch and dent sale when I got it home it was leaking oil and when I took the starter off to see where it was coming from there was a big hole in the side. The rod broke but it still spins good. I am going to take it apart to see if there is any chance of fixing it. Cross your fingers so I can have my dinner. lol The second motor I got didn't have no spark so when I checked it the coil was cracked and leaking puss. Ordered a new one and replaced it and boy did I get my dinner on that one Yahoo!!! Love your videos Taryl and say hey to the rest of the crew for me. I learned a lot from you bro.

I have a 2016 gmc canyon 2.8L duramax diesel and the injector blew a hole in the piston. Go to order another piston and they’re on back order for 6-8 months. It’s plum ridiculous and sad what’s going on in our country and all over the world and it’s not gonna get any better either… Anyway God Bless u and your family bud

Lawn mower tires don’t get hot like car tires… always use tubes in these tires.. I buy a new mower. Pop the tires off and install all four tubes

I repair automotive mostly and Garden Machinery in the summer...I can order car parts for delivery within an hour, when I'm waiting TWO MONTHS to get parts for mowers, with an irate customer that simply doesnt understand. A trip to my local repair shops sees 3 month waits, backlogs and repeated telephone calls saying to customers " We just dont know when" Absolute joke

Why oh why is there not a class action lawsuit for this? I will never know.

I have it’s 19.5HP counter part I adjusted that valves battery was weak starter was a touch worn out and yeah that’s my exact problem I have to turn the motor backwards then let er fly that and it’s learned a new trick were occasionally it likes to run away thanks to that Niki carburetor

The B$S replacement is no improvement. If a credible company designed and manufactured a credible replacement for that compression release, they’d make a motza.

Briggs is garbage

I just replaced one in that same engine model. It was easier than I thought. No lift. No shop. On the ground. Its like new now! Thanks for my dinner.

Hi Taryl, awesome videos. I think i have watched almost all of them, but i just did the same exact repair on a troy bilt, and I noticed the one you did was missing the axle clips to hold it secure in the plastic mounting assembly. this may be the reason the belt came off. people bang the mower up and down sometimes to get grass out from under the mower and this probably breaks the clips off and the axle gets loose, and the belt comes off. just thought you might like to know.

My VTwin and Kohler Command does that half turn, but if I push hard on the brake for some reason it will eventually turn over.

Just an FYI to anyone doing this. Its very easy to accidentally pull the crank up and get your timing off a few teeth when your putting the sump on if you have to lift it back up when fighting the seal. Ask me how I know. I had to take motor back off and tear it back apart first time I did this because my timing was off for that exact reason. Easy to do if you don't pay attention.

Just keep on hitting it and you will adventually get oil to come out😂
